The Salvation Army provides hope to people in despair, promotes equal access to education and assists families in need year-round across Romania. Established in London in 1865, and in Romania since 1999, this year we’re excited to launch two Christmas campaigns from November to December: Angel Tree and Red Kettle. We’re seeking partners and collaborators who are willing to assist our efforts.
Angel Tree is a way to sponsor Christmas gifts for children from families in need. We identify families in need around Romania and gather their Christmas wishes, then place them on an Angel Tree in public areas or companies who wish to partner, for employees or groups to participate in. This year we’re also launching an online platform to respond to a virtual solution, sign-up at angeltree.armatasalvarii.ro.
Or take the Red Kettle Challenge, create teams or partner as a company and raise 1000, 2000 or 4000 lei to financially support us year-round. The Red Kettle has been a tradition in the USA for over a hundred years and we’re introducing it to Romania, you may know it from holiday films and pop culture, the famous bell ringing and kettle stand collecting money. We are looking for public locations to allow ringing and collecting in front of, such as retail companies. We also are looking for corporate partners who want to have employees participate in raising funds, and we’re also allowing it to be virtual. Visit armatasalvarii.ro/redkettle.
