Bucharest, 14 October 2025 – Wolf Theiss, a leading CEE/SEE law firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Claudia Popescu as Partner in its Bucharest office, effective 15 October 2025. Claudia joins the firm’s highly regarded Corporate/M&A team, which includes over 150 lawyers across the region and is consistently ranked among the top transactional practices in Central and Eastern Europe.
Claudia is a highly respected practitioner with over twenty years of experience in M&A and private equity. She has advised prominent clients on complex cross-border transactions across multiple sectors including technology, energy, automotive and industrials, healthcare, financial services and real estate. Her experience covers acquisitions and divestments, mergers, intra-group restructurings, regulatory and commercial matters, public offerings of securities, privatisations and other investment-related mandates.
Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Claudia spent more than 20 years with two international law firms.
Claudia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Bucharest (2002) and was admitted to the Bucharest Bar in 2003. She is certified by the International Association for Sustainable Economy as an International Sustainable Business Specialist – Level II and as an Advisor – Level I.
