At the Paraclimbing World Cup in Innsbruck, 11 athletes with physical and visual disabilities proudly represented Romania on the climbing wall.
Three of them secured spots on the podium, winning gold, silver, and bronze in the finals:
-
Cosmin Candoi (Category B3) – 1st place (Gold)
-
Răzvan Nedu (Category B2) – 2nd place (Silver)
-
Daniel Andrei (Category B3) – 3rd place (Bronze)
Behind every achievement stands more than just an athlete. There is a whole team cheering from the ground, and a supportive community standing behind them.
We have athletes who lean on each other when they can barely catch their breath after a climb. Athletes who, when they feel they have nothing left to give, find new reserves of inspiration, determination, and the will to carry on.
We witnessed genuine smiles, firm handshakes, and shared emotions that needed no words. And the photos say it all!
This is the essence of our team: support, courage, determination, and sky-high ambition!
Because where the world still struggles to fully include and educate children and young people with disabilities, sport works wonders. With every climbing hold conquered and every competition where the national anthem echoes, our athletes lay another brick in the foundation of an inclusive society.
Every medal is dedicated to children with special needs, who are reminded more and more often that they are truly unstoppable.
And we wouldn’t have come this far without the support of our sponsors. We are deeply grateful for the trust and commitment they show us, year after year:
The Romanian Paralympic Committee, the Romanian Federation for Mountaineering and Climbing, Kaufland Romania, Viva Credit, Zuzu, Groupama Asigurări, BRD – Groupe Société Générale, and Ayvens.
