He is also a lecturer at the University of Bucharest plus a familiar face hosting and moderating major business events in Romania. Moderator: Bogdan Pletea – ESG Risk & Sustainability Strategist
Having a strategic and solution-oriented approach to risk management, Bogdan works with organisations to integrate ESG & climate-related risks into strategy. By translating sustainability strategies in practice, Bogdan helps large companies to improve their operational resilience and ESG & climate data disclosure in accordance with current regulations and sector best practice. Bogdan has an extensive expertise in management consulting, risk management and sustainability strategy, gained in over 20 years of international practice in the UK, Spain, Austria and Romania, in energy, tourism, insurance and banking sector. He is a member of the Institute for Risk Management (IRM) in London, has an international degree in Risk Management and has completed an MBA program at the International Institute of Management in Paris. He is also vice-president of Climate Change Special Interest Group (SIG) of IRM London an co- published in September 2021 the first IRM climate risk management guide designed to support boards of directors and risk managers in all sectors of activity.

Alina Prahoveanu, a distinguished PhD and MA holder, currently serves as the President of the Independent Director Association, and INED of Posta Romana SA, roles which combine her entrepreneurial spirit with over two decades of leadership experience. An accomplished financial specialist, she excels as both an Executive and Independent Non-Executive Director (INED). Recognized for her strategic acumen, Alina advocates for good governance, continuous improvement, and effective risk mitigation. Holding a PhD in economics and an MA in Boards Practice and Directorship, awarded with distinction in 2023, Alina’s commitment to continuous education underscores her dedication to shaping organizational excellence and contributing to professional associations, reflecting her dedication to advancing individual careers and the broader business landscape.
Mathieu Gregori – Founder of ECONOS
Mathieu Gregori holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) of Sciences Po. In 2020, he founded ECONOS, an advisory firm specialized in supporting companies based in Romania in the decarbonization strategies of their business activities. Since then, he has been assisting numerous clients from the private and public sectors in the implementation of low-carbon strategies in line with the objectives of the Paris Agreement (COP21).
Ileana Botez PhD, MBA – Head of Listing – Bucharest Stock Exchange
Ileana is one of the pioneers of the Romanian capital market, having an experience in this field for over 30 years. Since 1995 she has been working at the Bucharest Stock Exchange and has rich experience in the corporate field. From the general secretary of the company, director for listing & brokerage companies’ activities on the market, the company’s shareholders to the marketing, communication, and international relations areas of activities and corporate governance, Ileana currently coordinates the activity of admission to trading, as well as the financial education program “Fluent in Finance”.
She is an economist, specialized in Finance, a legal adviser with extended experience in capital markets and a trainer certified by the national authority. Ileana holds an MBA in Finance from Romanian Canadian program. She is very close to the academic environment as a lecturer at the University of Economic Studies in Bucharest. From 2020 she is a doctoral student with a topic in the field of corporate governance.
Since 2016 she is actively involved in associations as a volunteer, as President of Professional Women’s Network Romania since August 2021 after 5 years as Vice President of Women on Boards, as the initiator and ex-Vice President of the Association of Independent Administrators, member of the Association of Financial-Banking Analysts Romania (AAFBR) and the Association of Legal Advisers in the Financial-Banking System (ACJSFB). Ileana is also a lecturer and mentor within PWN Romania.
Speakers Panel 2: Sustainable Actions in Public and Private Sectors
Ramona Moldovan – Deputy General Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Energy.
She is a graduate of bachelor and master degrees in political and administrative sciences, with more than 18 years’ experience in the Romanian and Western Balkans governmental businesses and management of public sector related reforms and funding and over 10 years in coordination and management positions in public sector institutions. Over the years she had strategic management positions in the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Investments and European Projects and Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalisation. She is a former employee of World Bank and Ecole Nationale D’ Administration (ENA) where she worked on public administration reform and policy making agenda.
Ms Moldovan has long experience on strategic governmental affairs and policy making, planning, coordination and implementation of EU Funds, including National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the management of the relations with International Organisations.
In the Ministry of Energy, Ms Moldovan coordinates and contributes to the strategic decision making on the policies and implementation of financing programmes related to green energy and energy efficiency.
Ciprian Sandu – Sustainability & Public Affairs Manager at Provident Financial Romania 
Simona Fătu – Board Director, Advisor, Educator – PGD_BPD, ESG-ISB, Kaizen
Simona is a seasoned professional in organizational governance boasting more than 17 years of expertise in executive and non-executive leadership roles across international corporations, public companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, as well as state-majority-owned enterprises. Her practical knowledge is supported by formal education, as she possesses a diploma in “Board Practice and Directorship” awarded by the Henley Business School at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
Simona holds specialized knowledge in key sectors, encompassing financial services, energy, mineral resources, real estate, aviation, and maritime transportation. Her expertise spans across corporate governance and top-level management, business strategy and growth, as well as corporate finance, risk management, and internal managerial control systems.Simona has obtained the Advisor ESG-ISB certification from the International Association for Sustainable Economy (IASE), and she enjoys advising companies on the adoption of sustainable business models.
She serves as a governance lecturer in several educational institutes and is a co-author of the Manual for the Leaders of Entities Authorized, Regulated, and Supervised by the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), published in 2022 by the Institute of Financial Studies.
Loreda Dragomir – Managing Partner of Head Hunting Agency, and the Partner of Romania for Best Places to Work
She has almost 20 years of experience in HR, mainly in Executive Search and Recruitment, but also in Career Transition ( Outplacement, New Placement, Stay In Interviews, Exit Interviews, Mediations), Career Development (Assessment and Development Centers, Trainings) as well as Management Consultancy and Human Capital Advisory. Lately, she is in the process of getting ESG certified, with a focus on ESG for HR. Originally from Romania, moved to New York in 1995 and returned to Romania in 2005, when she had her first interaction with Human Resources Consultancy.
She currently has two citizenships – Romanian and American and a Master’s Degree in Mathematics.
As of January 2024, Loreda is an entrepreneur, leading a SME. Being an entrepreneur, Loreda can understand very well the SMEs, as well as entrepreneurs, but the daily job as a head hunter and HR consultant helped her understand as well how big organizations and multinationals work, so she understands processes, people, needs, HR in all industries, in all geographical areas.
She strongly believes in #Diversity, #equalopportunityemployment, as well as #womenleadership and she is an active member in powerful associations related to women’s mentoring and development.
