Modpack, the Romanian integrated export services industry leader, has begun a major new phase of international expansion by opening a new Global HQ in Liverpool City Region, UK.

Since founding the company in a shed a decade ago, brothers Valentin and Bogdan Malaescu have successfully conquered Eastern Europe, become market leaders and worked with blue-chip companies such as Alstom, GE, Ford and Siemens.

Modpack’s standards for excellence in flexibility and responsive industrial relocation services has seen it develop a strong base of UK clients. The opening of its new HQ in Wirral, part of Liverpool City Region in the north west of the UK, is a direct response to the growing demand for integrated export services.

The move to Wirral will give Modpack direct access to the UK market as well as to the Liverpool deep-water container port, one of Europe’s most advanced container ports providing shipping links to Europe and The Americas.

Modpack has marked the milestone opening of its new European base at a special event next week, with speakers including Dan Mihalache, Ambassador of Romania in London, and Aurelian Gogulescu, President, Prohava County Chamber of Commerce.

Modpack’s dedication to best practice and continuous improvement also provides new opportunities for potential employees in its new home in Wirral. The family run business will work with Morgan Ryder recruitment to identify 15 exemplary candidates to work within manufacturing, engineering, CNC and software during 2018. As part of the comprehensive training programme, successful candidates will travel to Romania to work on live projects, and on their return, they will be able to pass down knowledge to a growing UK workforce.

In basing its Global HQ in Wirral, part of the wider Liverpool City Region, Modpack will join a growing industrial powerhouse in the north west of the UK, with access to major global clients and excellent transport links to other UK cities, as well as a thriving cultural scene in Liverpool, the 2008 European Capital of Culture.

Speaking ahead of the move, Brad Hooper, Business Development Director said, “Liverpool City Region provides us with the connectivity, skills, proximity to customers and global reach to further grow our business from the UK. We are delighted to open a base here.”

Mike King, Investment Manager at Invest Liverpool said: “Modpack System are one of the leaders in their field in Europe. I am delighted that Invest Liverpool were able to help them select Liverpool City Region as their first UK location.  I very much look forward to seeing the company grow their UK and global market from their new Liverpool City Region base.”
