FSS Global has entered the IT and Business Intelligence market in Asia as part of the global development strategy. As member of the British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce, Ovidiu Drăghici – the General Manager – has held a series of business meetings with various multinational companies, organized by BritCham Singapore, among which: Tata Consulting Services, Infosys, Total Oil and Microfocus.

The visit to Asia had a series of important business objectives. The first aims at renewing the collaboration with one of the older clients of FSS Global – Shell Gas, which sold the Hong Kong company within a transaction worth approximately 150 M dollars. Another goal was taking part in a merger & acquisition project and in the company takeover by DSG Energy as buyer, a process during

which FSS Global provided support for the ERP transfer. Also, during the visit, the IT and Business Intelligence market was evaluated, with the purpose of determining the advisability of opening a FSS Global headquarter in Southeast Asia.

FSS Global has 5-6 years of experience with such projects, ensuring support in merger and acquisition processes in continental Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), East Malaysia (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah), Vietnam, the Philippines and Singapore. Within them, we used the SUN ERP, platform 4x, produced by Infor, as well as a series of associated acquisitions or e-banking systems, says Ovidiu Drăghici, General Manager of FSS Global.

One of the project’s components was the on-shoring one, which refers to bringing certain processes from Shared Service Centers into the company.

Our role was to identify: the tasks that will be brought back on the local level, the users that are handing them over and the users that are taking them over, the verification and validation of procedures, as well as testing them with new users. From a technical point of view, the novelty was given by the migration of the system to cloud for the buyer (Microsoft Azure), the rigorous offline testing, test migrations, new user onboardings and user trainings. In this case, we are talking about complex data systems – millions of accounting and stocks transactions, historical data, fixed assets, etc. explains Ovidiu Drăghici.

For over 12 years, FSS Global has been providing its clients with IT consultancy services regarding ERP, CRM and other associated informatics systems, such as software development and Business Intelligence. With offices in Romania, Great Britain, Ireland, the Czech Republic and USA, the company has developed and coordinated projects in several industries, among which oil & gas, pharma, hospitality and mass-media.
