Last week, launched its first fully serviced coworking lounge in Bucharest. Commons rented 320 sqm in Unirii on the edge of the Old Town and is opening a second 1500 sqm location in the Primaverii area by the year-end. This will be followed in the next few months by additional locations in other major cities in Romania as well as in London, Tel Aviv and Casablanca.

Commons offers complete office amenities within an informal open lounge setting, making it the ideal modern environment for creative and professional excellence.  “Millenials no longer view work as merely a means to earning a living. They want to feel part of, and contribute towards, something larger than their individual selves. The Commons goal is to harness this desire by creating a vibrant and diverse community which fosters synergies between like-minded individuals from all industries,” says Yoni Schimmel, one of the cofounders.

A typical monthly membership costs 190 euros and includes 24/7 access, high-speed Wi-Fi, printing, coffee and tea, meeting room usage and lockers. Members also benefit from mentoring from business experts, discounts at local retail partners, and passes to a series of internal and external professional and social events.

“I’m happy to be part of this venture which captures perfectly the new ways of working. I believe that we are at the foothills of a workplace revolution which will redefine the way people and corporations are designing and organizing their professional environment,” says David Canta, one of the cofounders.
