Idea Events, together with Let’s Do It, Romania! is organizing the conference “Non-financial reporting, the key to a sustainable business”. The event is part of the series of conferences organized by Idea Events dedicated to sustainability, ”Together for a better tomorrow”.
The main partner of the event is Kaufland Romania.
The conference will take place on 2nd of June 2016, at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, between 9:30 – 15:30. It addresses CSR and sustainability specialists and business executives representing companies that will need to file a non-financial report starting from 2017.
The special guest of the event is Sandra Genee, Senior Coordinator Corporate & Stakeholder Relations at Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), a pioneer in sustainability reporting. She will present an in depth analysis of the standard report structure, one that is most widely used on sustainability reporting and disclosure. Sandra Genee will be joined by various other speakers, amongst which, Cristina Bălan, Managing Partner CSR BootIQ, a GRI Nominated Trainer and the first Romanian specialist (the sixth in the world) to have passed the G4 exam, Andreea Giovani, Sustainability Manager PwC Romania, Bianca Toma, Projects Coordinator Romanian Center for European Policies, Robert Uzună, Corporate Affairs Director Ursus Breweries. On behalf of the non-governmental organisations will attend the conference Andrei Coșuleanu, Executive Director Let’s Do It, Romania! and Caroline Fernolend, Vice President of the Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation. The conference moderator will be Laura Dragomir, TV Producer and Presenter.
The conference aims to discuss the Directive 2014/95/EU on disclosure of non-financial and diversity information by certain large undertakings and groups. It requires companies concerned to disclose in their management report, information on policies, risks and outcomes as regards environmental matters, social and employee aspects, respect for human rights, anticorruption and bribery issues, and diversity in their board of directors. This will provide investors and other stakeholders with a more comprehensive picture of a company’s performance.
Our designated experts will present an in depth analysis of a sustainability report, according to European standards and regulations and will discuss the main trends, directions and challenges associated with CSR.
The interactive presentations will help the ones attending the event, whether CSR and sustainability practitioners, business executives or HR professionals, to identify the best path to integrating CSR into core business and benefit from sustainability reporting.
