Gipsy Queen in Romania is a project aimed at bringing the award-winning film “Gipsy Queen” to Romania. The film carries pro-education, anti-discrimination, and inclusion messages, creating bridges between different ethnicities and social classes. It is the first feature film centered around a Roma story to reach Romania, opening up necessary dialogues in society.

We are seeking financial assistance to ensure the distribution of the Austrian-German film Gipsy Queen in Romania. Our aim is to make the film available, free of charge, in schools, orphanages, universities and even in prisons. Additionally, we aspire to reach a broader audience by distributing the film in cinemas. Our ultimate goal is to reach and impact the lives of over 10,000 individuals.

Through the association’s efforts, we have secured the distribution rights for Romania, but we need financial support to bring the film to cinemas. Financial support will also lead to increased visibility for the brands that support the project. Please find more details about the project below.
