Olimpic champion David Popovici recently took on a new role as a coach for the Romanian National Paraclimbing Team. During his time with the athletes, he provided motivation and guidance to prepare them for the upcoming World Cup season, which will kick off with the first event in Salt Lake City, USA, on May 20-21.
Popovici, who has consistently proven his excellence in swimming, has now extended his mentorship to the world of paraclimbing, encouraging athletes to push the boundaries of their abilities as they face new challenges on the global stage.
The first stage of the 2025 Paraclimbing World Cup in Salt Lake City is set to bring together top athletes from around the world, and Popovici’s involvement has added an extra layer of excitement and inspiration for the team. His support, combined with the team’s dedication, is expected to make this season an unforgettable one.
We are glad that our members from Climb Again were able to witness and be a part of this incredible event, a true “From champion to champion” moment.
In addition to his coaching role, Popovici also shared a fantastic swimming lesson with the paralympic athletes, a moment that they were truly honored to receive. This lesson is now also featured on TVR Sport, showcasing the inspiration and the special bond between David Popovici and the Romanian paralympic sports community. You can find the moment here.
