Development of Sustainability Strategy at Romanian SMEs

Date:16/04/2024 9:00 am
Location:British Embassy

You are kindly invited to attend the British Embassy’s knowledge sharing session and workshop with Litmus Sustainability on 16 April 2024, Tuesday. The event is organised by the UK Science and Innovation Network in Romania.

Summary

Carbon Literacy for Businesses: This highly interactive 1 day workshop will help businesses to understand climate change, and how it can be reframed as an opportunity to reduce costs, reduce risks, and become a business everyone wants to work with. Carbon Literacy is a rapidly growing method following which participants gain accreditation that demonstrates that they understand climate change, know how to talk about it, and know how they can act.
The version of Carbon Literacy is a unique adaptation based on the ‘Eco-Innovation North West’ programme – awarded European SDG Initiative of the Year 2023, and UK Net-Zero Business Collaboration of the year 2023. Participants will get a certificate for their participation.

The workshop will help businesses to:
• Summarise climate impacts and the opportunities that they present.
• Identify what long-term success looks like in businesses own terms.
• Map current business activity and identify its impacts on the environment and society.
• Prioritise impact areas and identify quick wins.
• Develop longer term innovation opportunities, for example, by partnering with Romanian Universities.
