We are delighted to announce that our Chairman, Robert Uzună, was featured in an interview on “Dimineți cu Soare” at Radio România Actualități, where he shared his perspectives on the evolving trade and investment relationship between Romania and the United Kingdom.

The conversation highlighted the positive momentum in bilateral trade, with Romania continuing to record a trade surplus in its relationship with the UK, alongside a steady increase in two-way investments. Mr. Uzună also underlined the structure of Romanian exports and the growing role of services, pointing to a gradual shift towards more complex and value-added economic exchanges.

At the same time, he reflected on the broader economic and geopolitical context, as well as the strategic direction set by the United Kingdom through its industrial priorities, identifying areas of relevance for Romanian companies looking to expand internationally.

A distinct part of the discussion focused on the Manchester Business Forum, recently organised by BRCC in partnership with the Embassy of Romania in London and the Consulate General of Romania in Manchester. The initiative showcased concrete opportunities for Romanian companies, particularly in the IT and technology sectors, seeking to access or expand within the UK market, while also positioning Romania as a competitive destination for investment and innovation.

The interview also touched on the post-Brexit business environment, noting that while certain administrative challenges remain, the UK continues to offer significant opportunities and serves as a gateway to wider English-speaking markets.

Offering both practical insights and a forward-looking perspective, the interview provides valuable context for businesses seeking to better understand and navigate the Romania-UK economic landscape.
