This Monday was an exciting day for the Hypersay Events team. We ran our most complex digital event to date, organised by our client LUSH. It was a global corporate event, 12h of live streaming, spanning several timezones where all LUSH global employees had been invited.
The most impressive part was the level of multi-lingual support available for all the attendees, covering many languages and senses:
- 7 human interpreters translating live (voiceover) in French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Korean, and Japanese. We provided the integration endpoint for the interpretation agency and managed the internal distribution of the signals as alternate audio tracks for the main live streaming.
- human captioners transcribed in real-time the audio of the main stage. We developed the interface to capture the transcribed text, the internal real-time distribution system, and the computer interface with the translation engine.
- automated translations displayed as real-time subtitles in 13 languages
We managed to combine human and AI abilities into one single coherent digital experience offering all attendees better access to the global event in their own native language. On the day, none of the important branding, product, and strategic messages were ‘lost in translation’ during the event.
