Bucharest, February 02, 2021 – Vodafone Romania launches Flex, the first subscription from the operator’s portfolio that can be configured and managed exclusively digitally. Vodafone Flex innovates the mobile communications services, by introducing the first full-fledged subscription in the market which provides 100% flexibility, being the only one of its kind on the market that allows users to change their benefits whenever they want, even weekly, based on their needs, without any contractual period.

By designing Flex, Vodafone opens a new path in Romania in terms of flexibility, control and convenience. Thus, customers now have the opportunity to change their subscription benefits whenever they want during a month. Moreover, customers who will not be able to pay their subscription in a specific month will be able to continue to receive calls during a grace period without being disconnected.

“Vodafone Flex is the start of revolutionizing the way customers will experience telecommunications, it is designed for a digital native experience and with simplicity that reduces friction and need for any assistance. Everything is within the customers’ control, with one click away. They have access to a simple online payment, while they can adapt or change their plan as needed and not experience any bill shock or unwanted charges”, stated Mostafa El-Beltagy, Director Consumer Business Unit, Vodafone Romania.

Flex subscriptions are a product characterized by flexibility and total control. Users can, at any time, completely change their existing offer or to add extra bundles with national and international minutes and SMS, as well as GB of mobile internet, but also to temporarily stop the subscription depending on the specific communication needs. In addition to flexibility and unlimited benefits, the new subscriptions offer users access, regardless of the subscription’s value, to Vodafone Romania’s 5G network.

The Flex subscriptions offer a full digital experience through the My Vodafone application. At the end of the subscription setup process, customers will receive the new SIM card at the specified address. The full control provided by Flex is completed by the fully digital payment method. Thus, users have access to a payment system similar to the ones available for the video streaming services, with a monthly recurrence that can be changed at any time depending on the user’s needs.

Flex is available to users of mobile services in Romania, regardless of their mobile network, without a contractual period, for a cost starting from 7 euros for 30 days. For example, for the Flex 9 subscription, customers receive 100GB of mobile internet traffic, unlimited national minutes and SMS, as well as 400 minutes and international SMS for only 9 euro.

Flex subscriptions bring the same completely digital experience for the customers who port in the Vodafone network. Users from other networks can easily and quickly port in directly in the My Vodafone app.

For a limited period, all customers that opt for a Flex subscription will get one free of charge month. Moreover, in February, customers can benefit from a discount of up to Euro 100 for a selection of Samsung smartphones.
