UNFINISHED 23

Date:22/09/2023 9:00 am
Location:House of Ideas - Dionisie Lupu, 46

UNFINISHED was born out of the desire to raise awareness about the value of
others in our lives and the importance of embracing diversity. Part festival, part
conference, part exhibition, and part undefined, UNFINISHED is an ever-evolving
experience. UNFINISHED 23, the first multidisciplinary festival in Romania, is a large-scale annual event that shines a spotlight on cultural diversity and creativity. It brings together artists, speakers, designers, journalists, and experts from various fields, hailing from over 70 countries worldwide.

Now in its eighth edition, this year’s festival revolves around the theme of “SILENCE,” with a focus on sustainability. From September 22nd to 24th, the festival aims to
build bridges between diverse disciplines, encouraging curiosity, a thirst for knowledge, and innovative thinking among participants. UNFINISHED continues its mission of uniting people from around the world with different interests that intersect in unexpected ways.

UNFINISHED 2023 will be a physical edition, where we aim to bring together 3,141
individuals from all corners of the globe.

UNFINISHED 23 follows a cohesive structure, divided into six disciplinary pillars,
which will be explored and developed throughout the event. These pillars include:

Discussions: Interactive discussion sessions will be organized, where experts from
various fields will delve into current and thought-provoking topics, bringing innovative
perspectives and solutions to contemporary challenges.

Experiences: Participants will have the opportunity to engage in diverse activities
and workshops, each addressing a unique aspect of culture and creativity, fostering
interaction and hands-on learning.

Performances: Artistic and interpretative performances will captivate the visual and
emotional senses, exploring messages and ideas related to the festival’s theme.

Installations: Innovative artwork and interactive installations will provide a creative
perspective on the concept of sustainability, inspiring critical thinking.

Wellness: Within this pillar, activities and sessions promoting mental health,
balance, and personal well-being will be organized, considering their importance in today’s
fast-paced world.

Tastings: Culinary experiences and tastings will offer an insight into the culture and
gastronomic traditions of different regions, emphasizing the connection between culture
and sustainability.

Among the special guests of this edition are illustrious names such as Daniel Jones,
editor of “Modern Love” at The New York Times, and Anthony Burrill, a renowned British
artist and designer, along with many others from diverse fields, who can be viewed on the
event’s official website, https://unfinished.ro/line-up/

The event will take place at the EIDOS Foundation headquarters, located in the
courtyard of Casa Universitarilor on Dionisie Lupu Street, No. 46, Bucharest. This location
provides an ideal setting for exploring and celebrating cultural diversity and human
creativity.

UNFINISHED 23 is much more than just a festival—it is a global platform for the
exchange of ideas, exploring creativity, and engaging in discussions and activities rooted in
sustainability and cultural diversity. The event serves as a catalyst for innovation, cultural
connections, and personal development in a rapidly changing global context.
