Bucharest, 16 October 2026 – Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has been named “Romania Firm of the Year” at The Legal 500 CEE Awards 2026, presented yesterday evening at a ceremony in Warsaw hosted by the British publication The Legal 500. The Legal 500 editors described the award as recognition of the firm’s jurisdictional excellence.
Now in its second year, the event brought together leading law firms and in-house legal teams from across Central and Eastern Europe. Awards were presented in around 80 national, practice-area and regional categories spanning 17 jurisdictions.
Winners are selected on the basis of the independent research carried out by The Legal 500’s editorial team for the regional edition of the guide which takes into account the complexity of the mandates handled, legal innovation and direct feedback from clients.
Five law firms were shortlisted for “Romania Firm of the Year”, the highest national honour The Legal 500 presents in Romania, with Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații emerging as the winner. The Legal 500 editors described the award as a recognition of the firm’s jurisdictional excellence. The award reflects the firm’s work across every practice area researched by The Legal 500: banking and finance, corporate and M&A, dispute resolution, tax, employment, energy and natural resources, competition, intellectual property, PPP and public procurement, real estate and construction, restructuring and insolvency, TMT, gambling, white-collar crime.
The strength of the team was also reflected in the individual categories, with Ramona Chițu (Moisa), Partner at Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații Tax, shortlisted for “Tax Next Generation Partner of the Year” award.

The Legal 500 award follows the firm’s “Law Firm of the Year: Romania” title at the Chambers Europe Awards earlier this year. It is the first time an independent Romanian law firm has won, in the same year, the highest national award from both of the leading international legal directories – The Legal 500 and Chambers Europe.
It also comes after the “Deal of the Year in Romania” award from the international publication CEE Legal Matters, decided by a jury vote. The award went to Vodafone Romania’s acquisition of OTE’s stake in Telekom Romania Mobile Communications, on which Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații advised Vodafone Romania.
