Realize the PAWS-ibilities as you will talk to some of our guide dog users, colleagues and puppy walker volunteers. We will explore different topics – from understanding the differences between using a cane or a guide dog for mobility, how best to prepare for a guide dog partnership, our Buddy option, to what a day-to-day life might look like with a guide dog when you are in high school or at work, or traveling with a guide dog. You will hear some “tails” of success from our alumni, about our ongoing advocacy projects and find out more about our volunteering programme.
Families/children are very welcome!
Next Friday is also our opportunity to say farewell to our wonderful colleague Rob Bousie and his lovely wife Naomi, as they prepare to move back to Britain! We are extremely grateful for their contribution, the incredible journey and the special bond we shared. Rob’s sterling support, laughter and camaraderie have made every day a joy!
But we are so excited about his next adventure as a junior guide dogs instructor in Scotland!
