Location:InterContinental Athénée Palace - Le Diplomate Ballroom, Bucharest

On October 9, 2024, John Elkington, known as “The Godfather of Sustainability” and creator of the “Triple Bottom Line,” the most well-known concept in sustainable business management, will come to Romania for the first time. He will attend the SUSTENLANDIA CEO FORUM, organized by the Sustainability Embassy in Romania, in partnership with The CSR Agency and “powered by” Kaufland and BCR.

SUSTENLANDIA CEO FORUM is a hybrid conference dedicated to leaders of Romania’s largest companies and visionary entrepreneurs. The event aims to provide a fundamental platform for applied discussions on the necessity and ways to transition to sustainable businesses, a transformational process where leadership plays an essential role.

Alongside John Elkington, Wayne Visser, another titan of sustainability and one of the top 10 most influential thinkers in academia on responsible business, will also be present. The event host and moderator will be Charly Cox, entrepreneur and co-author of the first coaching book on climate change.

Key aspects of the event include:

Individual presentations and a debate with John Elkington and Wayne Visser, exploring innovative solutions and effective strategies for a sustainable future;

A local panel discussing the challenges of the transition to sustainability, analyzed together with executives leading top companies in Romania;

Networking sessions, offering opportunities to interact directly with experts and industry leaders.

“The presence of local business leaders at the SUSTENLANDIA CEO FORUM is essential to catalyze the necessary changes towards a sustainable economy. We are honored to have John Elkington and Wayne Visser, two emblematic figures of global sustainability, with us. It is a unique opportunity to learn directly from the pioneers of sustainability and to discuss with other local leaders about the challenges and solutions for accelerating the transition from business as usual to sustainable business. Unfortunately, sustainability is still the concern of a minority in the local business environment today. We hope this event will act as a catalyst, the spark we needed to understand that sustainability is here to stay and that it is the responsibility of company leaders to contribute to that positive change we so desperately need,” said Dragoș Tuță, Founder and President of the Sustainability Embassy in Romania.

Tickets for the event can be purchased on the official website, at special prices until July 25. Of the 170 physical participation tickets, 60 seats are still available, dedicated to top management representatives and sustainability coordinators from companies with over 50 employees or a turnover of more than 50 million EURO. Online tickets are unlimited and available to all other sustainability professionals and enthusiasts in this continuously developing field.
