Download for free the DreamLab app, select a project you choose to support and every time the phone is in loading mode and connected to the internet, the app will utilize the processing power of your idle phone for research.

The Romanian version app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store and is compatible with iOS 10 operating systems or later and Android devices with “KitKat” v4.4 or later.

While they are sleeping, smartphone users in Romania can contribute to cancer research by letting the DreamLab app run on their phones. This app has a Romanian version and helps with the decoding of complex studies in the oncology field. Oncology researchers have developed a sophisticated algorithm that relies on artificial intelligence to analyse complex data, which requires very large processing power. While the phone is connected to electricity and has internet access, the DreamLab app uses its processing power to solve calculations that help cancer research projects, then sends the results back to the respective research institute via cloud technology. For example, a personal computer working 24 hours a day would require 300 years to analyse all the information needed for such a study, while 100,000 smartphones, each running 6 hours every night, could achieve the same results in three months’ time.
