
Great news from Roweb: the Romanian company will support the team from Pitesti TehnoZ Lightning Bolts at the World Robotics Championship in Australia.
However, Roweb is committed to supporting education and local communities, which is reflected in its brand values. As part of this commitment, the company sponsors creative ideas for high schools and technical colleges whenever possible.
And this is because:
- Most Roweb employees have graduated from high schools and/or colleges with a technical profile;
- The Roweb team believes that investing in education is the equivalent of investing in the future – in most cases, today’s pupils and students become the employees who support tomorrow’s society and work environment;
- Roweb values the hard work of teaching staff who train pupils and students with technical backgrounds and fosters a collaborative relationship with them.
- The Roweb story is also related to the educational environment. Shortly, a former IT teacher ( Viorel Costea – the current CEO) gathered around him three students passionate about technology, and in 2004, they laid the foundations of the Roweb brand.
About Roweb’s interaction with the robotics team
In 2022, impressed by the talent, curiosity and enthusiasm of the TehnoZ Lightning Z team, Roweb offered them sponsorship for participation in World Robotics Championship in Rio de Janeiro.
This year, the robotics team from Pitesti managed to surprise again, qualifying for the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE World Championship – Sydney 2023. And because the organization and travel costs are difficult to cover, Roweb decided to join companies that support such initiatives.
The victory of the robotics team is impressive. About 100 teams from all over the world will participate in the international competition in Australia (being selected the best teams from over 35,000) and coming from 50+ countries.
For the TehnoZ Lightning Bolts team, this championship represents the recognition of talent, passion and many hours of work spent in the robotics laboratory.
Other community support initiatives carried out by Roweb
2023 is the year in which the company’s agenda in terms of tech, business and employer branding events is quite occupied.
To promote their career programs, they began by participating in a job fair (Jobs4IT, Craiova) and delivering presentations to students in various faculties.
Then, Roweb continued with the registrations for the 2023 internship, for which they had over 300 applicants.
Also, this year, Roweb sponsored the inauguration of the Informatics Laboratory, which allows young people to apply what they have learned in their courses. Additionally, the company awarded prizes to the winners of the Computer Science Contest at the University of Pitesti over the weekend.
