In addition to software development, specialised technical advice and maintenance for various platforms and applications, Roweb also means a team of professionals passionate about technology.
However, because the brand’s philosophy is built around technology enthusiasts, Roweb has decided to offer sponsorship to students who want to perform in the field of robotics.
It is about the team of students from the Zinca Golescu National College from Pitesti, representing Romania this summer at the SESI FIRST INTERNATIONAL OPEN World Robotics Championship – Rio de Janeiro 2022.

With enthusiasm, energy and optimism, the young people invited the Roweb team to a demonstration of how their robots work.
The robot that will go to the competition in Brazil keeps up with the trends in this challenging and dynamic industry.
“This year, the team won the title of national vice-champions and, thus, we qualified for the Sesi First Lego League International Open Brazil competition, a result that mobilised us and made us responsible. I think the students’ enthusiasm contributed the most to this success, but the help of all those involved was significant. Now we have greater responsibility, and we understand that the support of sponsors is indispensable. We are glad we found understanding and appreciation from many people, and we could cover Brazil, which is expensive.”

And all the team’s efforts are channelled into making it as efficient as possible. But to succeed, it needed the support of Roweb – a company that knows the efforts behind such activity.
The team of students was very well organised, each member assuming an important part in the project. They took care of every section: from project management to marketing and promoting.
Young people are people with perspective, who like to think strategically and who understand that the future is tech.
According to statistics, robots equipped with artificial intelligence will take over many of the current tasks in the near future. And young people are becoming more and more familiar with this idea.
Roweb was involved in this initiative because the company’s story is also related to the high school environment. The founder of Roweb is even a former high school computer science teacher, who former students joined as partners in the company.

“As a teacher, I’ve met students with great potential. It’s one of the privileges of teaching: to see not only what a student is but also what they can become someday. Their enthusiasm and capabilities were definitely an inspiration for me. But, on the other hand, I’ve noticed a real potential for creating an IT company on the market. So, putting these two together, I’ve realised soon that it would be a real lost opportunity not to involve some of my (former) students in a bold project.”

Other events and actions through which Roweb supports students:
- Job Shadow Day initiatives in which students have the opportunity to come to the company’s headquarters to see how software developers work. Initiatives of this type are appreciated because the students have the chance to learn what it means to work in the IT industry.
- Internships in which students have the opportunity to develop an end-to-end application together with coordinators. These are the first steps in developing a software development career.
- Equipping an IT laboratory. This initiative will be resumed soon, as the laboratory needs modernisation, and Roweb wants to help students keep up with technology.
- Job fairs. This year, Roweb participated in a local event, where the company’s representatives presented to the students some details about what it means to develop a career in the IT environment and information about available positions.
