Roweb supports education in local communities. And recently, the company offered to fund an Informatics Laboratory dedicated to students who choose to study at a faculty with a technical profile.

The initiative is one of many of its kind. In the past, the company also took care of equipping an IT laboratory, which was used by many generations eager to pursue a career in IT.

Moreover, this year, the company plans to sponsor a contest for young tech enthusiasts by offering special prizes.

Because many of Roweb’s employees come from faculties with a technical profile, such initiatives are a priority for the company. Here are some other concrete examples:

  • Roweb sponsored the Tehno Z Lighting Bolts team at the world robotics championship in Rio de Janeiro;
  • Also, to encourage the students, the company financed Computer Science books dedicated to high school students;
  • Considering Roweb’s policy of easily integrating people into the team, it has been organizing Job Shadow Day initiatives in recent years, through which students can come to the company’s headquarters and spend time with software developers.

Combining knowledge and learning through experience – two main pillars of the company’s philosophy

The importance of a mindset that focuses on finding the right solutions, where creativity can serve results as valuable as knowledge, are some of the central values that define the Roweb team.

Beyond that, Roweb supports the concept of STEAM education, a combination of knowledge from various fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. However, this concept is directly linked to the company’s foundation, which is based on five stories as different as complex.

But, beyond the different professional backgrounds of the company’s partners, Roweb continues to be more than a tech community. It includes over 130 specialists (top management + developers + support departments) who leave their mark on various projects and initiatives due to their varied professional experiences.

“Learning by experiment, without increasing the power of abstraction, is similar to learning Spanish by soccer players. Methods must be nested. And not only in Mathematics and Computer Science.

However, learning specific things on the fly, without working on a basis… cannot lead to anything substantial. Therefore, knowledge must be mixed.” Viorel Costea – CEO Roweb

Due to this fact, the career programs represented by the summer practice and the internship are 85% based on practical applications. Thus, mentors and coordinators pay attention to both tech knowledge and soft skills when selecting applicants.
