Sunday 14 June : 16:00 hrs GMT

I hope you are well and coping in this period of lockdown.

I am writing to let you know about our new event – Hospices of Hope’s Virtual Quiz Night.

We really hope you can join us at 16:00 hrs GMT on Sunday 14th June for our very first Virtual Quiz, kindly sponsored and hosted by Goose Quizzes. You can play as a family, on your own or in a (socially distanced) group.

How to take part in the virtual quiz

Please register here no later than 15:00 hrs GMT on 14th June. You will be sent an email which contains a Zoom meeting link. Simply click on that link and you will join the quiz. Don’t worry if you do not receive the Zoom link as soon as you register – it will be sent out before the quiz starts.

If you have not used Zoom before you will need to download it in advance of the quiz. Otherwise, all instructions for participants will be given at the start of the event.

Your support matters

There is no cost to take part in the quiz but if you would like to donate to help us continue our crucial work, you can do so before, during or after the quiz has taken place. To donate please click here.

The impact of Covid 19

Because of Covid 19 we have had to cancel so many events this year and this has decimated our fundraising. Whilst the response to our Emergency Corina Virus Appeal has been amazing we are still looking at a significant shortfall. Because our hospice services are not UK based we cannot take advantage of the government assistance scheme offered to charities whose work is in this country.

The situation is critical, and we are doing what we can to raise vital funds to continue providing care in Romania, Serbia, Moldova and Albania. Our Executive Director, Graham will be explaining the challenges our nurses and doctors are facing in our partner countries.

I hope to see you at the quiz or one of our events later in the year.

With best wishes,

Anna Perolls
