Date:06/12/2023 9:30 am
Location:Novotel Hotel, Bucharest

BRCC in partnership with Banca Transilvania, is delighted to invite you once again to the conference “Macroeconomic updates for 2024 and beyond in Romania”, 2nd edition.

Discover the main macroeconomic forecasts from our top experts. The event will take place on the 6th of December at Novotel Hotel starting with 09.00.

In 2022 growth reached 4.7% driven by strong private consumption and robust investment. Growth is set to continue for the upcoming period at a slower pace than in 2022 due to persistent inflation, tight financing conditions and low growth in trading partners

Nevertheless, next year Romania will register above-average economic growth while Hungary and the Czech Republic will underperform. Overall, real GDP is projected to grow by 3.2% in 2023 and 3.5% in 2024, according to a recent OECD report.

Moreover, the fiscal policy should adapt to the economic developments in an agile way, while support measures should be redirected at the most affected sectors.

The event will focus on:

  • Macroeconomic updates for 2024 and beyond
  • The impact of the monetary policy
