The Romanian software development company, Roweb, reached 158 employees this year. If the end of 2019 meant 113 employees, in 2022, their number was increased due to the expansion of projects and the challenges they brought. 

Thus, the recruitment team brought new people in the PHP, .NET, QA, Mobile, e-commerce HR, Marketing, Sales, Financial, and Support departments.

Of these, more than 75% choose to work on-site or hybrid (both from the office and from home), which led the Roweb management to expand the office building with two more floors (another 200 square meters).

These will represent a mix between open space and delimited areas that will be used for meetings of larger teams of programmers, to welcome the visits of clients and partners, and for socializing.

Regarding the geographical distribution of employees in 2022:

  • most of the employees are from Pitesti – where the Roweb company has its headquarters;
  • the following department in terms of the number of Roweb employees is Craiova – the company having its office right in the Old Center of the city, in a historical building, followed by Bucharest – the Roweb department also located in the ultra-central area;
  • approximately a quarter of the employees work remotely.

Roweb has an organic progress 

Employee growth is a priority for Roweb. This is why the HR department has a continuous stream of recruitment. The company believes that its progress is primarily due to the quality of people in the teams, their involvement, and their loyalty.

Most of Roweb’s employees have been with the company for over 10 years.

“We have been in the market for 18 years. In this business, we started with only a few people, and today we are approximately 130. Therefore, the challenges were very different from one stage to another of our evolution.

In the beginning, we had a lot to assimilate in a short time – both from the perspective of technologies and business- because we wanted to deliver correctly and on time. And the effort was quite significant then. So we have all progressed both from a business and technical point of view as partners and our employees. Then the expansion of the teams began, and we had to define new roles in the company, to adapt quickly.” said Viorel Costea, Roweb CEO.

Also, regarding the following year, Roweb included in the development strategy:

  • increase in turnover – in the next 5 years, aiming for a doubling of the current business;
  • increasing the number of projects;
  • investing in new equipment and adopting modern technologies;
  • participation in international business, tech, HR, and e-commerce events;
  • the completion and inauguration of the expansion of the headquarters in Pitesti;
  • developing the portfolio of international clients (over 90% of them come from countries such as Belgium, Holland, USA, Canada, UK, United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland);
  • the development of the Horeka internal project – a Roweb solution dedicated to Horeka owners.
