How to protect against Ransomware

Date:22/03/2022 10:00 am

BRCC, together with Ixodron invites you on the 22nd of March, starting with 10am on our latest webinar on cyber securtity.

In recent years, headlines about cyber security have become increasingly common. Thieves steal customer social security numbers from corporations’ computer systems. Unscrupulous hackers grab passwords and personal information from social media sites, or pluck company secrets from the cloud. For companies of all sizes, keeping information safe is a growing concern.

According to the Cyber Security & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), “Cyber security is the art of protecting networks, devices and data from unauthorized access or criminal use and the practice of ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.”

One of the most common Cyber Attack is Ransomware

Ransomware is an ever-evolving form of malware designed to encrypt files on a device, rendering any files and the systems that rely on them unusable. Malicious actors then demand ransom in exchange for decryption. Ransomware actors often target and threaten to sell or leak exfiltrated data or authentication information if the ransom is not paid. In recent months, ransomware has dominated the headlines, but incidents among the Nation’s state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) government entities and critical infrastructure organizations have been growing for years.

Malicious actors continue to adapt their ransomware tactics over time. Federal agencies remain vigilant in maintaining awareness of ransomware attacks and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures across the country and around the world.

As you have probably experienced… this complexity gets problematic fast.

But what if you could solve all these things, and do more?

One step is to have a good and updated antivirus.

But what if the antivirus will be bypassed?

In this scenario you should be prepaired with a secure backup solution.

Join ixodron and BRCC’s  online webinar for a deep dive into the various parts and challenges of designing and implementing a resilient, infrastructure that propels your organization into an exciting, highly competitive future business landscape with the best backup solution.
