Gala From the Heart to the Future – `The Hidden Crown of Kindness`
to take place on October the 18th at 18:30 at InterContinental Hotel Bucharest
The Gala is the emblematic fundraising event of Fundației Inovații Sociale Regina Maria that brings together Romania’s top business community, entrepreneurs, media, public administration and top-ranking diplomats, inviting them to support an impactful social cause with the aim of changing disadvantaged people’s lives.
Last year the Foundation has provided over 19,000 medical check-ups (from which 5,600 were free) to the 5,600 registered patients (from which 2,600 without income) of the 2 social clinics and 200 children benefited from funds generously donated at the Gala.
This year the Foundation`s work expands its purpose into overcoming systemic discrimination against all adults and children living amongst us on the edge of poverty, ignored, marginalized and becoming invisible in the society. The charitable Gala becomes more than a black-tie fundraising dinner, as it is the launching point of a civic campaign that aims to raise awareness about social inequity and acknowledge that combating stigma requires collective and decisive actions rather than individual struggle.
The event will be an inspirational evening, filled with networking opportunities, a special gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions for spectacular objects and experiences and an incendiary concert by Loredana.
How can you help?
In order to raise funds so as the Foundation to continue its mission, 5 sponsorship packaged between 4,000 – 24,000 € were defined for companies that wish to join the Gala as partners, but there is also the possibility to participate individually for 250 € a ticket.
The sponsorship packages offer free seats at the Christmas Show taking place on 6th of December at the National Jewish Theatre: `Queen Mary: the Queen of all Romanians` played by Ms. Liliana Ceterchi.
Powerful people inspire other through their generosity and as history has shown us, kindness is `a hidden crown more precious than all the jewels in the world` (Nicolae Iorga, about Queen Mary), but also that each and every one of us holds the key of changing disadvantaged people`s lives.

Fundatia Inovatii Sociale Regina Maria is an NGO that has been offering a wide range of free medical services for people without income and medical insurance for over 9 years. It takes care of 200 children from underprivileged families in two educational centers (Clinceni and Baneasa), with the help of more than 15 paid and volunteer teachers.
Gala from the Heart to the Future is the Foundation`s emblematic charity event with a tradition that spreads on 7 years and that, through the generosity of all participants, has managed year by year to raise funds to provide medical access and treatments for people without income and social security and to open the door to education for underprivileged children.
