About the Webinar

Our Built Environment, Diversity, and Sustainability Committees are delighted to bring you a webinar focusing on creating inclusive cities and resilient communities that work.

According to the WHO, over 2 billion people live with a disability, representing 37.5% of the world’s population.

Some of these disabilities are invisible and with 50% of the world’s population currently living in cities, there is an opportunity to review and futureproof the future cities’ ecosystem to ensure the inclusion of invisible disabilities on cities planning agenda.

This webinar is suitable for:

  • City Planners
  • Policy Makers
  • Anyone interesting in creating inclusive communities and cities

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Join this webinar to hear our panel share their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in the economic, financial, health, infrastructure and planning arenas in discussing frameworks aimed to cater for the “exceptions”.

Disabilities, whether visible or invisible, incur direct and indirect costs that the WHO recognizes as significant and yet difficult to quantify.

You will learn some of the key challenges from various industries linked together by the common goal of creating a sustainable and resilient ecosystem for people living or caring for individuals with invisible disabilities.

Thank you to our Official Diversity & Inclusion Partner, Barclays, for their support with our D&I activity.
