Fa o miscare is the initiative of the KinetoBebe Association, through which we offer free specialized help to a number of children with neuromotor disabilities who need long-term recovery therapy.
Do you remember how emotional you were when your baby took his first steps? That knot in your stomach of joy and fear, combined with a slight happiness? You looked at him with curiosity as he moved in all directions, and you thought, “Go, little one, the world is yours now!”
But not all children can go in the direction they long for, even though the world is theirs as well. And then they turn their gaze to you, with the same curiosity, even if they can’t go alone to discover its mysteries.
KinetoBebe Association coordinates the three largest Pediatric Recovery Centers in Bucharest where approximately 150 children receive daily therapy, most of them babies up to one year old. These children have been diagnosed with neurological, orthopedic problems, severe prematurity or various genetic syndromes and need therapy to help them to lead an independent life.
Because a lot of families cannot afford to support such a long-term endeavor, we have introduced Therapy Grants (Burse de Terapie) into our project. Through these, we offer, each month, free therapy for 40 children in need. The funding of the grants is made from the internal resources of our clinic, but also thanks to the donations.
