We invite you to join the first edition of the “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” Festival, an exciting musical event that promises to transport you to a world of sublime harmonies! On 5 June, the Romanian Athenaeum will become the scene of an unforgettable performance, under the baton of the talented conductor Constantin Grigore.
The evening’s program includes works by Rossini, Vivaldi, Gerónimo Jiménez, Carlos Gardel, Eduardo di Capua, Johannes Brahms, Johann Strauss II, and to mark Puccini’s centenary, the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra will perform selected arias from the operas “Turandot” and “Boema”, bringing to the fore exceptional voices of the opera scene, such as the tenor Alin Stoica and the soprano Daniela Bucșan.
With the support of the Italian Embassy in Bucharest and the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania, on 5 June we will be seduced by the timeless compositions of Puccini, recreating the magic and depth of Italian opera right in the heart of Bucharest.
