Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioners (HMTCs) cooperate closely with British Ambassadors and High Commissioners, the wider diplomatic network and other HMG colleagues based in countries in their region, in a coordinated effort to promote UK trade and prosperity. When Richard Burn was appointed to the role in June 2020, he commented: “All European countries will remain critically important trading partners for the UK, as we agree a new trading relationship with the EU. The mission of DIT across the Europe region will be to help British businesses succeed in the new trading environment and to build an ambitious level of inward investment.”
HMTC Richard Burn will share insights on upcoming trade and investment opportunities for UK organisations throughout the region, and share a perspective on how UK companies might explore these opportunities in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Richard is keen to engage with UK companies with an interest in the European market to both provide an update and receive feedback on the region, which includes Central, Eastern and South East Europe.
