The annual Ceremony of Remembrance will be held on Sunday 13 November 2022 at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery, Tîncăbeşti. This ceremony gives us an opportunity to reflect, alongside Allies and friends old and new, about those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country in war, as well as in peacetime. I hope you will be able to join us, and if you would like, to lay a wreath in remembrance.
Formal proceedings commence at 10:45, with guests asked to arrive no later than 10:30, and will conclude by 11:30 after which there will be an opportunity for personal reflection and to walk the grounds.

Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery Tancabesti
CWGC Tancabesti is situated on the DN1 Bucharest-Ploiesti road approximately two minutes north of Tancabesti town.
Wreath Laying
Should you wish to lay a wreath you have two options:
- Individually sourced wreath. If you choose this option please ensure:
- The wreath is delivered to the cemetery no later than 10.30 on the morning of the ceremony.
- Prior notification is sent to the Defence Section no later than Wed 9 November, using the following email address, tudor@fcdo.gov.uk
- UK Poppy wreath. UK wreaths cost RON 200, with all proceed going to the Royal British Legion, and are purchased from the embassy. Payment options are: electronically to bank account number RO52CITI0000000826014008, Citibank Romania SA, with ‘payment Remembrance Day 2022 / Name (person/institution); cash paid at the Embassy.
- The Defence Section will transfer the wreath to the cemetery on your behalf.
