Context: A virtual fundraising GALA to mark the international day for the elimination of violence against women and to celebrate Casa Ioana’s 25-years of lifesaving and life changing support for women and children confronted with domestic abuse.

Casa Ioana has teamed up with Event Engineering in the UK to bring all the fun of an actual gala into your own home! Simply organise your own dinner party at home – complying with any Covid-19 guidelines in place – and join other dinner parties for a fun packed evening!
Each dinner party is asked to donate 50 Euro towards Casa Ioana’s vital work (link) to receive a Guest Ticket with login details to the gala. Every dinner party will receive a Casa Ioana professional Chef’s apron, delivered in time for the event.
The British Ambassador to Romania, Andrew Noble LVO will make a short speech followed by the Founder and President of Casa Ioana, Ian Tilling MBE, who will welcome guests to the gala. Colin Lovering will be the compare for the evening and the auctioneer at our live auction. Our music is being provided by Haydn Deane and his Big Band.
Entertainment will be provided during the evening interspersed with the meal courses when guests will be invited to join their virtual table. Each ‘table’ has a maximum of five dinner parties and guests will be able to interact with each other freely. After each course, guests will be invited back into the ballroom where the entertainment will continue. The live auction will take place towards the end of the evening.
Guests can ask to sit with particular guests, so spread the word and get friends and family to make up a table! A special bonus means that at the end of the gala, guests can re-join their tables and continue the celebration with the other table guests.

A pre-event online silent auction allows you to bid for a chef to help you design your dinner menu and the cook it on the Gala night. Many other exciting items are up for sale in the auction.
