We’re so happy it’s fall and we can begin our new season of Arts at the Anglican events! To start things off, we’ll be partnering with the Street Delivery Festival this weekend, the oldest street festival in Bucharest. On Saturday Oct. 5th at 3pm, the talented Adina Cocargeanu will perform a program of organ music at the church including Bach, Buxtehude, Handel, and Arne.
Similarly to our last concert of the previous season with the Bucharest Organ Festival, this is not a ticketed event but donations are encouraged. We will not take reservations this time so we encourage you to come early. The church will be open to visitors all day as part of Street Delivery.
Our next event will be the second annual celebration of Queen Marie’s birthday in partnership with Fundatia Calea Victoriei on Sunday 27 October at 7pm. It will include music by the young musicians of the Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation, dramatic readings of Queen Marie’s letters and journals by actress Adelaida Zamfira, and a presentation of the life and personality of Queen Marie by historian and writer Simona Preda. Tickets will go fast so we will let you know as soon as they are available.
