Want to discover personal stories of the LGBTQ+ community from across the world – and from Romania?
On Thursday 28 March, from 18.30, the British Council and MozaiQ are offering a screening of the #FiveFilms4Freedom followed by a relaxed chat with the MozaiQ community in the charming space of Point (10 Eremia Grigorescu).
Entry is free, and more info about the event is available on Facebook, at https://www.facebook.com/events/320045038864013/.
For the fifth year in a row, #FiveFilms4Freedom, the world’s widest-reaching online LGBTQ+ film festival delivered in partnership with BFI Flare, returns with a selection of five short films telling stories of love and identity.
If you can’t make it on Thursday, the films are available online for free by 31 March, so don’t miss the chance to watch them at https://www.britishcouncil.org/arts/fivefilms4freedom in solidarity with LGBTQ+ communities in places where freedom and equal rights are limited, and help us spread the message that ‘Love is a Human Right’.
By the way? Over the past 5 years, more than ten million people in over 200 countries and principalities have watched #FiveFilms4Freedom, including many parts of the world where homosexuality is criminalised, and in some cases, punishable by the death penalty. So it really is a shame to miss them.
Hope to see you on Thursday!
