Neil McGregor – Vice Chairman, BRCC British solicitor & managing partner, McGregor & Partners (in association with Stephenson Harwood, London)

We all know that the DNA and other Romanian authorities are extremely    active in pursuing bribery and corruption in Romania, but people may be less familiar with American and British laws on foreign bribery and corruption, and on how they can apply to what happens in Romania.  The American Foreign Corrupt Practices Act has been around for a while, but the UK’s Bribery Act of 2010 is much tougher and is now being actively enforced by British prosecutors and courts in relation to foreign bribery.  To protect themselves, businesses need to put certain simple and clear procedures in place to prevent bribery – this event will explain what these are and what can happen when things go wrong.

This event is open to members (and non-members invited by members) of the Chamber.

Please confirm your attendance as soon as possible but not later than Monday 7th March by e-mail at astefan@brcconline.eu.
