Where strategy, technology and capital meet.
Following its first edition in May 2026, VANTARC Defense Forum returns for a second edition, bringing together approximately 120 representatives from diplomacy, government, the defense industry, business and finance.
Under the theme “From Strategic Intent to Practical Delivery,” the forum will explore how evolving security priorities, technological innovation and investment can translate into tangible defense capabilities and sustainable industrial development in Romania.
The agenda is structured around three interconnected panels:
Panel 1 | Geopolitics of Defense
Exploring the evolving security landscape on NATO’s eastern flank, credible deterrence, Black Sea security and regional cooperation. Discussions will also address Romania’s strategic role, European defense financing and the development of domestic industrial capabilities.
Panel 2 | The Future of Defense Technology
Focusing on technological innovation and operational readiness, from counter-drone systems and electronic warfare to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and autonomous technologies. The panel will examine how emerging solutions can transition from prototypes to reliable, large-scale production.
Panel 3 | The Economics of Defense
Examining the economic impact of defense investments, European financing mechanisms and opportunities for Romania’s industrial sector. Key topics include local production, technology transfer, access to financing and the role of private capital in supporting defense companies.
Beyond the Discussions
VANTARC Defense Forum aims to connect strategic decision-making with industrial and economic realities, encouraging meaningful dialogue between policymakers, defense professionals, technology innovators and investors.
Through expert perspectives, interactive discussions and audience participation, the second edition will focus on one central question:
How can today’s defense commitments become tomorrow’s operational capabilities and lasting economic value?
