World Cancer Day takes place on 4 February 2023, focusing on closing the care gap and addressing inequities in access to quality cancer services worldwide.

In the run-up to the World Cancer Day, Youth Cancer Europe’s Ana Amăriuței will speak at a high-level hybrid conference co-organised by the European Commission and the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, on the 1st of February, in Stockholm. Everyone will be able to follow the conference online in real time and join the conversation on social media using #EUCancerPlan and #EU2023SE.

Following keynote speeches from Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety and Acko Ankarberg Johansson, Swedish Minister of Health Care, Youth Cancer Europe steering committee member and biomedical science PhD student Ana Amăriuței will be sharing her story and address topics such as Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and speak about EUCAYASNET, the first-time-ever EU funded project, coordinated and managed by young people with lived experience of cancer.

Web streaming is available without registration via Slido (Code: #EUCancerPlan). You can also join the conversation on social media using #EUCancerPlan and #EU2023SE.
