The pandemic has changed the way people work, especially those who can work remotely, from home, from their favourite cafe or anywhere else. This approach has become very popular in IT.

The software development company, Roweb, prefers a hybrid approach. People can work both at home and in the office. In this way, some employees prefer combining the convenience of working from home with the possibility of going to the office, collaborating closely with colleagues and socialising.

On the other hand, there are also some employees who constantly come to the office to maintain collaboration with the team and as a specific requirement within the project.

The fact that Roweb works online has allowed a quick adaptation to work conditions. The discussions from meeting rooms have turned into online call-type meetings, using intermediate platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams or Slack. But the cooperation and collaboration between teams never stopped.

Roweb built the second building to have a welcoming work environment for those who opt for on-site or hybrid work

In 2021, the company’s activity focused mainly on completing the construction of the second office building of the headquarters in Pitesti.

Because of the restrictions caused by the medical crisis, the construction of the new office building had delays. However, there was no intention of giving up, and the project was completed.

This project was carried out with the help of European funds. The building has 55 workspaces (several meeting rooms, recreation spaces and a data centre).

The offices are designed to respect the safety distance, offer comfort and, above all, create a modern and integral atmosphere.

The investment, which amounts to approximately RON 3.7 million (60% European funds and 40% own funds), is not only the actual construction of the building.

It is also reflected in a series of technical and technological equipment that will help create a modern and efficient work environment for the Roweb team.

Currently, they are also working on expanding the current headquarters to build a new floor.

“From the employer’s position, we will continue to invest in modern technical equipment and work environment optimization (for example, by creating spaces for socialising and resuming team-building events), as they are essential for us as a team. In addition, we want to continue to be perceived as flexible, people-oriented and interested in creating an equally diverse and inclusive work environment in the post-pandemic phase.”
