The Romanian software company Roweb, with a turnover of more than 4.3 million euros in 2021, plans to open a new office in London and expand its team of experts.

Roweb offers services through dedicated teams (staff augmentation and project-based teams) and develops end-to-end business solutions (from consulting to architecture, development, implementation, design, QA, etc.).

Even in times of pandemic, in which the economic situation was quite unbalanced, the Romanian company Roweb ended the year with a turnover 20% higher than in the previous year.

The company recovered quickly from the shock of the pandemic and adapted to the new context with both hybrid and remote working modes.

Moreover, Roweb has managed not to lose any customers and keep its software developers’ teams intact. In 2021, the number of employees increased considerably, and they completed the construction of a new office building in Pitesti.

The story behind Roweb

Roweb was founded in 2001 by a teacher and three of his students and had an exciting story.

In the beginning, Roweb was based on a platform that brokered the sale of second-hand computers for the American market.

But thanks to the interactions with the clients from this portal, the first concrete custom software development projects for the international market came. Since then, the company has reached over 1,000 completed projects and a portfolio with clients from 30+ countries.

2004 was an important year for the software house. The company started operating under the name Roweb and created a site dedicated to this brand.

From the beginning, a strong differentiator for this Romanian company was the trust it gained in front of customers through quality and efficient deliveries.

With some of these clients, the company managed to develop a strong collaborative relationship, and they became true brand ambassadors for Roweb on the international market (especially in the UK).

For example, the most extended project has been running for over 17 years with a client from Belgium, followed by a collaboration with one of the largest tour operators in Denmark (Tourpaq – Primotours) for more than ten years.

In terms of the UK market, the company’s portfolio includes several clients from the recruiting area – large companies with a turnover of hundreds of millions of pounds per year.

For 2022 Roweb plans to expand its tech departments ( Node.js, DevOps, Cloud Integration, etc.).
