Junior Achievement Romania and Novartis launched a new pilot project promoting research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in medical and technical – medical Universities in Romania, for accelerating the process of digitalization and AI & medical robotics applications for healthcare area.

Current pandemic has undoubtedly set the stage for an unprecedented acceleration of technological upgrade in healthcare area. The Pre-accelerator enables thus a faster shift in the healthcare operating environment, and generates practical solutions enabling research work an interdisciplinary collaboration. Based on the open innovation model – forming multifunctional, multidisciplinary teams, the project gathers students and organizations at national level and facilitates experience exchange, coordination of research projects phases of implementation, knowledge and expertise support and share. Finally, the pre-accelerator ease transition from research ideas to projects, development of prototypes and ultimately launch of start-ups centered to solve healthcare and digital health issues in Romania.

 

Engaging Novartis R&D lead and JA network know-how in entrepreneurship, including its established relations with local businesses and social impact investors, both organizations partnered to offer a good practice model for national implementation and the most needed framework for a collaborative work and synergies in new digital technologies research.
