„Treat your diabetes! Choose to prevent heart failure ” (www.ritmuldiabetului.ro) is an integrated educational campaign, for the general public, on type 2 diabetes (T2D) and the risk of heart failure, endorsed by the National Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases (SRDNBM) and the Romanian Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases Federation (FRDNBM), with support from AstraZeneca. The campaign’s focuses on raising awareness on the risk of heart failure in type 2 diabetes, meanwhile being a call to action for patients to talk with their doctors on the current solutions to control T2D and prevent heart failure.
The campaign comes to support the medical community and the healthcare system in their endeavour to improve the management of T2D in Romania whilst improving the quality of life for patients. The campaign is broadcasted nationally on TV, Radio and internet, between October-December 2020.
