The British Embassy in Bucharest requests the pleasure of your company at an information session and discussion about UK citizens in Romania: Post-Brexit Challenges, Opportunities & Next Steps

In December 2017, the EU and UK reached agreement on the post-Brexit rights of EU citizens already residing in the UK and British citizens in the EU. This remains a top priority for both the UK and the EU, in recognition of the contribution these people make to British and European society and culture and the desire to ensure that that they could get on with their lives broadly as they do now.

In the first of a series of events that will take place in Romania and the UK, this event aims to explore how we will deliver on that agreement. Officials and consular staff from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will set out some of the issues that will affect British citizens who have made Romania their home, including access to health, pensions, and benefits. There will also be a chance to raise concerns and to ask questions.

Venue: TBC Date: 5 March 2018, 17:30-20.00 (registration: 17:00-17:30) If you wish to attend this event please register your interest by February 25 at RSVP.Bucharest@fco.gov.uk. Please note that due to limited space, places will be offered on a first come, first served basis. The language of the event will be English.
