Bucharest, 11th of October, 2017. Provident Financial Romania announces the appointment of Eduard Gongonie as Regional Marketing Director, responsible for the coordination of marketing teams in Romania and Hungary.

Eduard Gongonie has over 20 years’ of experience in coordinating successful teams of top multinational companies such as Nestle and Unilever as well as outstanding achievements in brand building and customer portfolio development in several Central and Eastern European countries.

From his role, Eduard Gongonie is responsible for continuing the strategic development and coordination of marketing investments in the two countries. Also, the new regional marketing director will have as main objectives the consolidation of Provident brand and customer portfolio as well as greater regional integration.

At the end of 2016, IPF, the parent company of PFR, registered a 629,000 customers portfolio in Romania and Hungary. The volume of loans granted over the same period in the two countries was over 300 million pounds.

According to financial data, in the first six months of 2017, the IPF Group recorded a pre-tax profit of £43 million, an increase of £10 million compared to the same period last year. Credit issued also recorded growth of 10% in the first half of 2017 compared to the first half of 2016.
