The British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce will hold a round table discussion on BREXIT and its effects on the business relationships between the UK and Romania on Thursday 9 March 2017.  The discussion will take place between 10:00 and noon and will be held at the Bucharest office of the Chamber, 1-5 Gen. David Praporgescu St., 2nd floor, apt 4, 020965, Romania.

The BRCC is working with the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe to present the expectations for the UK’s future relationship with the EU to the UK government.  In connection with this, the BRCC has the following questions for you:

(a)  What web of relationships in the UK and Romania does your business currently rely on?

(b)  Where would you like your business to be in five years’ time, and what relationships do you hope to rely on in order to get there?

(c)  What, if any, impact has Brexit already had on your business?

(d)  What, if any, impact do you expect Brexit to have on your business in the next year?

(e)  What impact do you expect Brexit to have on your business once the UK has completed its withdrawal from the European Union (assuming that no agreement is reached between the UK and the EU)?

(f)  What steps do you need policymakers to take now (i.e. before the conclusion, or possibly start, of withdrawal negotiations) to ensure that your business can continue to grow and invest during the negotiation period?

(g)  What steps do you need government to take/negotiate during the negotiations so that the UK’s withdrawal agreement is implemented with minimum disruption to your business?

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to send information to be taken into account in preparing the BRCC’s response on the BREXIT process and the future relationship between the UK and the EU, please write to us by e-mail at crina.diculescu@brcconline.eu
