Transylvania College became an agent of change in the Romanian education system by promoting excellence in the heart of Transylvania since 1993. Transylvania College is the only international boarding school in Cluj-Napoca and outside Bucharest that offers a full educational track from nursery to high-school, with two lines of study, following the British and the Romanian curricula. The school has been accredited with maximum scores by the Cambridge University, the UK Department of Education (BSO) and the Romanian Ministry of Education (ARACIP).  Our latest BSO inspection has evaluated Transylvania College as meeting all the highest standards as a British School Overseas and a model for Romanian education.

A rapidly growing school, which almost tripled its student body in the last three years, Transylvania College offers a unique multicultural learning environment to 600 students and 100 teachers, as its community represents 25 nations, from 6 continents. The graduates secured places at the renowned Romanian and international universities of their choice.

Being members of elite networks of schools, such as Global Connections, Round Square and COBIS, Transylvania College is implementing modern, trendsetting practices in education. They believe the students of today are the leaders of tomorrow.

For all its extraordinary accomplishments, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Margareta of Romania has bestowed upon Transylvania College the High Royal Patronage.

Transylvania College was the only European school shortlisted by The Times’ Educational Supplement for the British International School of the Year, among other 4 schools.
