The Vodafone Romania Foundation has invested 23 million euro throughout its 18 years of activity, in education, healthcare, social services and volunteering projects. Over 1.4 million people have seen the benefits of the foundation’s projects throughout the years.

Starting in 2015, the Vodafone Romania Foundation has also carried out the Rural Investments Strategic Program, dedicated to the small-urban and rural areas, with a EUR 650,000 budget last year. Funds were assigned to projects that involved 30,000 beneficiaries.

In its 18 years since the establishment, the Foundation’s most significant projects have included opening a new intensive care unit for the newborn at the “Marie Curie” Hospital in Bucharest (a 2 million euro investment), implementing telemedicine solutions with the SMURD emergency service and with the “Marie Curie” Hospital (which allow doctors to remotely assess the status of children), renovating the major blood transfusion centers in Romania (EUR 350,000 investments between 2011 – 2016) and the “Connecting for Good” program.
