Brasov, 23 June 2016: Kromatic Brasov ranked 8th place worldwide among top companies in the laundry industry according to CINET, the international umbrella organization of professional laundry associations. The ranking was made public during the Global Best Practice Awards 2016, and it considered the innovativeness, sustainability, quality of offered services and the business model of each of the 100 nominees from around the world.

The Global Best Practice competition took place during Texcare International, the world’s leading trade fair for the laundry, cleaning and textile rental sectors between 11 – 15th of June 2016.

Its purpose was to highlight the best practices in the Professional Textile Care industry and demonstrate its focus on a high standard of quality, new business models, innovation and sustainability. These were the criteria considered by the jury of 20 international professionals in the industry when analyzing 100 nominees from all around the world. The top was then narrowed to 30 companies who had to pitch a 2.5 min presentation, highlighting what makes them able to offer extraordinary services.

Being nominated in the top 30 and then awarded with the 8th place in the worldwide ranking of extraordinary laundries, proves that Kromatic’s business model of identifying the textiles it rents to customers through RFID microchips is globally appreciated.

„This is yet another sign that the professional laundry market is reshaping and putting technology to amazing use, meant to solve the eternal problems of the usual laundry – mixing textiles among clients, incomplete deliveries, high resources consumption, premature waste, etc.”, Aurelian Moraru, Kromatic’s director states.

According to him, even if Romania’s laundry sector and, specifically, that of workwear and linen rental, is still very young, the country benefits from Europe’s first RFID intelligent laundry with tools developed by Romanian engineers.

Nowadays, centennial laundries worldwide are looking to implement this business model based on radio frequency, due to its efficiency and sustainability that arise from a superior textile management and real-time reporting system of the linen and workwear inventory, number of exact washes, state of an item’s lifecycle or the theft-intent.
