Dear Members,

I am absolutely delighted to take on the position of Chairman of the British Romanian Chamber of
Commerce and, at the same time, pay a personal tribute to the dedication and professionalism that
Ray Breden contributed over the years to help bring the BRCC to where it is today.
Having now lived in Romania for over 6 years I can happily speak through the experience and
passion I have for this country and I’m honoured to be part of its continuing growth and
recognition of Romania as a major player in business development in the region as being, very
much, on the radar of British investors looking for a professional, skillful, multi-lingual and
sustainable home for their future growth.

My intentions as Chairman are simple. I want every single member to feel part of an exclusive
group of professionals that embrace the traditional philosophy I grew up with which is “work hard
and play hard!” and truly benefit from their membership.

I also want to continue to enhance the strong relationship that we have established with UKTI and
the British Embassy which is beginning to bear fruit in terms of the inward and outward investments
that some our members are already benefiting from and reflected in our ever increasing
membership numbers now well over 220 for the first time.
Thirdly, I want to send a strong message to all of you, our valued members to ‘get more involved
and be part of the Chamber’s successes as it really is your chamber.

We have a number of our regular, traditional activities (business and social) which will expand more
in 2016 with greater opportunities to effectively promote your business and use the BRCC as a
realistic vehicle for developing your respective business big or small.
Finally, I look forward to seeing you all at the BRCC Christmas Party on the 14th December which
promises to be a great evening of fun and surprises together with great networking so please book
your seats as soon as possible!
My best wishes to you all and I look forward to a prosperous 2016 for all of our members, staff and
business partners.

Kind Regards,
Colin Lovering
Chairman of The British Romanian Chamber of Commerce
