Romanian-American University, INSOL EUROPE, Nicolae Titulescu University are organizing the National Conference
The conference shall be included in the lawyers’ continue training and development program. The points accumulated shall be calculated in accordance with INPPA’s assessment criteria.
Under the generous patronage of the most prestigious professional institution in Europe in the field of insolvency, INSOL EUROPE, the conference invites you to attend a special event regarding the analysis and debate of highly current topics in the field of domestic and cross-border insolvency, in the company of renowned specialists in insolvency law: university professors, judges, lawyers, insolvency practitioners, representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Romanian National Trade Register Office.
Topics shall include analysis of the recast of the new European regulation and will particularly consider specific aspects regarding issues arising from the impact of cross-border insolvency in/with the Romanian business environment, both in Romania and abroad, as well as how the provisions of the new European regulation help address them.
The following topics of great interest to the field of insolvency shall be discussed:
• applying EU Regulation 2015/848 to insolvency of natural persons
• preventive restructuring
• insolvency of group companies through analysis of comparative law and case-law
• forum shopping
• rescuing companies from bankruptcy
• analysis of the proposed Directive on the preventive restructuring, second chance, streamlining of restructuring procedures, proceedings providing for debt discharge and insolvency
• case-law examination of cross-border insolvency proceedings involving Romanian entrepreneurs as debtors
